Itinerary
A full day tour with more time spend on each places of interest start with visit to the splendid Jame’Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque which has 29 gold cover dome, beautiful marble floor& ceiling, huge door made from Nara Wood from the Philippine, Crystal chandeliers, colourful stain glass with Arabic inscription beautiful prayer carpet and more. Then to Brunei’s majestic royal heritage, Istana Nurul Iman is the Sultan’s official home in the capital and is the largest residential palace in the world. Situated on the top of a hill overlooking the city, the palace is an enigmatic symbol of Brunei’s enduring monarchy and seat of the nation's government.
Follow by Brunei Museum, which house the biggest private collection of Islamic art on display, various brass cannon of Borneo, biggest display of Sunken treasure from a single few century old Chinese merchant ship and learn all about the “Black Gold” of Brunei - Oil industry of Brunei. Then to the Royal Regalia building which are the home of Coronation & Silver Jubilee Chariot, Royal Regalia of the coronation of present 29th Sultan of Brunei, numerous gift from state dignitaries and many more.
The Water Village (Malay: Kampong Ayer) is a district of Brunei's capital city Bandar Seri Begawan. 30,000 people live in the Water Village. This represents roughly ten percent of the nation's total population. All of the Water Village buildings are constructed on stilts above the Brunei River.
Private water taxis provide rapid transit.. The district has a unique architectural heritage of wooden homes with ornate interiors.People have lived in Kampong Ayer for over 1300 years. Antonio Pigafetta dubbed it the Venice of the East when the fleet of Ferdinand Magellan visited in 1521. The district is a culturally important part of Brunei that preserves the nation's river dwelling origins.
Tour will also include visit to “Tamu” local market and learn all about local produce, “Shampoo” make from vine, local delicacies and etc.
